My Favourite Amulet

My Favourite Amulet

YU-JADE

Thailand Amulets~My collections are genuine from Thailand Monks & Temples. I started with amulets from Phra Kruba Krissana Itawanno. These amulets are so unique and creative. History from those Monks and amulets created are really interesting.
Amulet is chanted or blessed to protect or bring blessing to one who owned it, not depending on who you are.

Yu
~Chinese character meaning Jade. For thousands of years till now, jade was and is a symbol of love and virtue as well as a status symbol. Chinese people believed jade had supernatural power. Using jade wares and jade ornaments could resist invasion of evil influence and avoid evil apparitions and secure safety and auspiciousness. Today it quite difficult to differentiate whether it genuine or not as technology is so advance. You just have to touch and feel it. It will give you a cool feel on your hand, a calm feel in your heart and this is the Yu that suitable for you.

Sang Kat Chai

Mahagaja, Yanatala was the original name of Sang Kat Chai .
Once, one mention of Sang Kat Chai, a feeling of goodwill and pleasantness was felt. Anyone who has seen this Buddha image will naturally pause to glance at the Buddha image for a moment, with a smile arising from the inner-self that resemble the smile of the Buddha image.

His nickname is also known as “Free body but not free mind. Forever responsive”.

Sang Kat Chai was also one of the the outstanding disciples of Shakyamuni Buddha.
Sang Kat Chai was brought-up in a noble family, his father was then the Prime Minister of Muchani Kingdom in Southern India. When his father was ageing, Sang Kat Chai who was already a well-trained Prime Minister, succeeded his father’s work. Sang Kat Chai was performing the role as a Prime Minister, one day, the Maharajah ordered Sang Kat Chai to lead 7 ambassadors with him to Khaminpa City to invite Shakyamuni Buddha to preach in the Palace. Sang Kat Chai was highly impressed by his Buddhist teachings, as a result he resolved willingly to shave his head to become monks.
Actually, Sang Kat Chai was a handsome young man. His nursing name, Gajajana or Kanjana mean gold and silver. Whenever, his back faced the sunlight, his skin immediately gave a glow of golden color. This kind of characteristic phenomenon was a result of his righteousness in his previous life. Such phenomenon indicated significantly his good deed in previous life as well as his present work. His parent did not know the reason of such phenomenon, therefore they gave him the name of Gajaya.
Due to an unhappy incident caused by his
Lokapalas (assistants). Sang Kat Chai changed his features from originally, fair and handsome to one with big belly as big as water container, large head, short neck and dark complexion. We know that such feature of his made people liked and respected him more, for that all he gave to the people were so impressive and kind.
